The Council of Churches of the City of New York is the oldest ecumenical organization in the United States. It was founded in 1895. Today, the Council has thirty denominational members and affiliated agencies through out the five boroughs of New York City. The Council holds an Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet in the fall to honor clergy and lay leaders of the City of New York who have shown exceptional leadership skills and outstanding services. Please join us as we honor the hands that serves the Church and the city we love.
