The Council of Churches of the City of New York(CCCNY) sincerely thanks you for providing us with the opportunity to serve you.
Since our establishment in 1895, the Council of Churches of the City of New York exists to help and assist with the needs of pastors.
We offer the Clergy Photo Identification Card to help pastors and chaplains gain recognition as clergy at public and institutions such as prisons and hospitals where identification is necessary.
Here are some guidelines for you.
- The Clergy Identification card is valid only for the purposes specifically athorized by the Council of Churches of the City of New York.
- The card becomes void after the expiration date appears on the front.
- The card is the property of CCCNY, is non-transferable and can only be used by the person whose picture and name appears on the front.
- The card may be cancelled and/or reclaimed at CCCNY's sole discretion. Use of the card constitues acceptance of all CCCNY's rules and regulations.
Apply
You can apply for Clergy Photo Identification Card using the application form found on our website. Fill out the application form and send us with a payment. Please make a check payable to the Council of Churches of the City of New York or CCCNY. Once the application is verified and approved, a Clergy ID will be mailed to the applicant.

Renewal
The Clergy ID card will expire after a 12-month period when the applicant has the option to receive a new card for a $20.00 renewal fee.
We encourage you to utilize the ID renewal form also found on our website two months prior to the expiration date to ensure continued use of your identification card without interruption. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact us.
